Worms in Pups-Can anyone tell me what to do for a up two or three months old, that has worms? Would turpentine be a good remedy for a dog afflicted in this way-if so, what amount would you give?
There are a number of vermifuges on the market, and as far as I know they are all good. Dent’s Vermifuge is a good one, though there may be many others as good. Pumpkin seeds, mashed and boiled to a pulp, and the shells removed, is safe and reliable remedy. Give your pup a teaspoonful in a little feed, on an empty stomach. Repeat the dose in about three or four days, and several days later give another dose. Turpentine is good but likely to cause inflammation of the kidneys and should not be used.
