Wolves-A Pack-A pack of timber wolves here in the mountains of Pennsylvania, before they became extinct here, was a pair of old wolves and a litter of young, after the young were old enough to leave the den and travel with the old animals, which was about the first week of July, until they were about ten months old. Then the old ones would drive them off to hunt for themselves. If they stay together they are called a pack of wolves, as there are from five to eleven in a litter. The young wolves are usually born in the latter part of April.
