Wild Ducks-How far south do the wild ducks and geese go in the fall, and do they raise young during the winter?
In North America there are sixty three species and eight sub-species of ducks, geese and swans, and it may be said that each species has somewhat different habits as regards to migration and breeding, so you see it would be next to impossible to answer this definitively here. Most to the North American ducks breed west of Hudson Bay in the marshy land, in summer, and quite a l t of them winter in California; others go south to the tropics, and some even breed in the far South.
