WINCHESTER—MODEL 1892—Is the Winchester 1892 a good all-around rifle for game and on the trap line?
I have a Winchester rifle, model 1892, half magazine, seven shots. I only use the metal cased bullet because they do not damage the game at all. I have shot muskrats at night with it—mink, rabbits, squirrels, hawks, crows, pigeons, ducks, and snipe, and never damaged the game at all. You cannot get a better rifle for all around use and on the trap line. It shoots H. V. shells. It will kill a deer at long range; my partners shot a buck at eighty-five yards with one last fall in Wisconsin. I have shot over 800 shells in it, and it is as good as new.
