WEST VIRGINIA HUNTING—In what mountains of West Virginia are the best hunting grounds? Are there any mountain lions and bears there?

I prefer to leave this question for those who are well acquainted there. About eight years ago I hunted in Pocahontas Co., and Randolph Co., and there was plenty of game there then,—deer, and some bears. There are no mountain lions now in West Virginia, but until a few years ago an occasional panther which in reality is the same animal known throughout the west as Mountain lion, Cougar, etc. They are a Western animal and except in Texas, and other of the Gulf States, are never found east of the Rocky Mountains.
