WEASEL TRAPPING—Would like to hear from weasel trappers as to their methods, best traps, etc.?
I have trapped several years from southern Kansas to the Hudson Bay and the best method I found was a rat trap (house rat), shaped like the “Out of Sight” and “Gee Whiz’ traps. This trap, when set, is to be covered with feathers, scented with anise oil and the trap so arranged that the animal can only come in at the front. The trap will be trued successful in every instance and is cheap. It can be bought at any hardware store.
