Weasel-The “stain”-Is the fur on a prime weasel skin stained as bad in the spring as in the fall?
Nearly all fur is best when it is first prime. The stain on a weasel is commonly a failure to turn pure white in the fall. In the spring, when the summer coat begins to appear, the stain becomes brown through shedding and growing of dark hair. Except as the hair wears off during the winter, exposing more of the darker under hair and fur, the stain does not increase.
