A tip that I have for all of the young guys out there with minimal success I have found in my 19 years of hunting. The best is to wait for at least a half an hour after you shoot a deer before you walk up to gut it. If you don't the deer might get a boost of adrenaline and run. When I was 15 years old the second deer I shot on my own was one I will never forget I shot her somewhere in the side and all excited like an idiot I ran to look at it and it ran and got hit by a MAC truck never check on a deer to soon!
