The furbearers are mink, marten, otter, beaver, weasel, wolverine, wolf, black bear, panther, coon and a few sea otter on the west coast, but there are none of them very plentiful, and about one trapper for every other animal.

The game are deer, elk, grouse, quail, pheasant, ducks, geese, sand hill crane, and some shore birds of which I know nothing, as I never use a shotgun.

Fish are fairly plentiful. Most all kinds of trout. You can also get some good salmon fishing around the largest rivers.
