I spend some time after the big game season here in Idaho hunting coyotes. I hunt the fields on breaks of canyons. Calling canyon breaks can be very successful. Call for no more than 30 minutes and if nothing shows go to another setup.

I've found that using a turkey vest with the built in seat makes a dandy coyote hunting outfit along with a camo shirt and pants. The Turkey vest give you lots of room to store your calls, your lunch and binocs. The big plus is the built in seat pad and back pad. This takes a lot of strain out of sitting on cold ground and the padded back makes sitting next to a tree, log or rock so much easier.
