Using Scents for a Scent Drag

I hunt mainly PA and CT. If you are having difficulty finding deer in an area previously scouted prior to the season try finding a hill with a clearing at the bottom and using a good attractant such as DOCs double doe or Tinks Doe pee. Each work equally well. Get in the woods early and use a good cover scent I prefer fox urine. Using a ground drag with the attractant start at the bottom of the hill and work up. Walk slowly and leave a good scent trail. Stop at the top of the hill or a clearing where you can get a good shot. Leave a scent pad wherever you stop. Hang your tree stand at least 20 yards from the scent pad. This method works because of the nature air flow created by hills. Even if deer are downwind with your wind detector the wind swirls up the hill then back down leaving a good scent trail that deer are interested in. Good luck I hope this works as well for you as it has for me in the past.
