TRAP INFORMATION—Is the largest size of Oneida Jump trap better for coyotes and wildcats than the No. 8 Newhouse? Would the Oneida Jump traps, with teeth he better than those with plain jaws? I have been told that the jump traps catch too high and sometimes spoil the fur—is that true?
No, there is no better trap to be had for such animals than the No. 1 Newhouse, but many trappers like the No. 4 Oneida Jump. Some prefer the traps which have teeth on the jaws and these are more certain to hold the game, but when setting for coyotes they are more difficult to conceal because of the teeth.
