The steady, consistent trigger pull is key to making a great shot. We can all improve on this important aspect of shooting. Even seasoned pros need to practice avoiding the tendency to 'jerk' the trigger vs 'squeeze'. To improve shooting accuracy & chances of a clean kill, practice using a very tried & true method taught by guides & marksmen (snipers). Learn to 'pinch' the trigger between the thumb (resting on the stock) & trigger finger, squeezing from both directions. This reduces the tendency to anticipate the shot and 'pull' the barrel; which many novice shooters experience.
