TRAPPING—SETS FOR MINK—What kind of places along a good sized stream should I set box traps at to catch mink, and what kind of bait should be used?
Would advise that you set your traps on straight reaches of stream, as there the mink is pretty sure to be near the water. If there is any old drift, it is better to set close to it, and where small creeks or ditches empty into the stream. Bait with small fish, and have traps that spring by a trip-board, like the one described in Fur Farming, as it is the best box trap I know of.
