TRACKS—What do marten and fisher tracks look life? Are these animals found in this section (Siskiyou Co., Calif.) of the country?

Martens and fishers are both found in California, but not, in your immediate section. I believe that they are found in the Siskiyou Mountains, but am not certain. The tracks of the marten resemble those of the mink somewhat, but are larger and broader in proportion. The feet are heavily furred and the tracks do not show the toes so plainly as those of the mink. The tracks of the fisher resemble those of the marten, but are larger.
