TO TELL CYLINDER FROM CHOKE BORE—How can I tell the difference in a cylinder bored and a choke bored shotgun?
Place several felt wads in the breach and push them through the barrel with a rod. You can easily feel the choke when they reach the muzzle. If the gun is a twelve bore take a new ten-cent piece, one- which does not have the milled edge worn off and drop it in the breech. If the barrel is a full choke it will stick in the muzzle.
