Swiss Veterli, 41 Caliber-I would like to know the weight of bullet and charge of powder, trajectory, velocity and striking energy of the .41 caliber, Swiss Veterli army rifle.

The weight of bullet of the .41 Swiss cartridge is 310 grains, powder 55 grains. I am unable to obtain any statistics, but comparing it with other cartridges of the same size I judge its penetration to be about 10 boards, its velocity about 1,200 feet and trajectory about the same as the 45-60 Winchester which is 3.16 inches at 50 yards when shooting 100 yards and 13.67 inches at 100 yards when shooting 200 yards. This rifle is out of date and the Swiss army is now equipped with a fine high powered rifle.
