STOP THIEF FOR SKUNK—Will you please tell me how to set the “Stop Thief” traps for skunk, what bait to use, and how to use the bait with the traps?

The trap should be set over the mouth of the skunks’ den, propped up as straight as possible, but with nothing in the way to interfere with the action of the working parts. The trigger should be adjusted to spring easily and should set about one and one-half inches high. The trap should he fastened to a stake. If desired, one can attach it permanently to a crotch, or can hang it on nails driven into stakes. If the den cannot be found, set the trap with bait over the entrance of an enclosure, a hole in a hank, rotten stump or log; place the, bait, anything that makes good bait for skunks, in the hole, behind the trap.
