Stevens Tip Up

Stevens Tip Up-Would a Stevens “Tip Up” istol, 3 ˝ inch barrel, .22 caliber, using the short cartridge, be a good one for shooting squirrels up to 20 yards? Would it be better to use the Long Rifle cartridge?

No, it would be next to worthless for that use. You want a heavier, longer barreled gun. If it is chambered for the short cartridge use that one only. If it is chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge and no other should be used in it. I can recommend both the Stevens Off Hand model and the Stevens Diamond Model, the choise depending on the manner of shooting you prefer to adopt. For shooting by holding the gun at arm’s length like a revolver, choose the Off Hand model.
