Staying Dry in a Tarp/Poncho Shelter | |
|
Light poncho camping, when using a poncho for a makeshift tent, a good tip when using line to raise the poncho, and tying off between trees, twist a small stick approx 1 foot from the poncho on each end of line, and this will stop water, while raining, from running down the line holding the poncho. The 2 sticks, will create a break, and the water will drip off 1 foot from the poncho tent, keeping the interior dry...a simple trick, too many don't use, and waking soaked at 3.00 am is no fun at all....
