Stevens Diamond Model-I want to buy a Stevens pistol but do not know which model to choose-the Off Hand or the Diamond Model. I want to use both hands when shooting as I cannot shoot well when I hold a pistol with one hand. I like the Off Hand model best because it has a trigger guard. Which should I choose?
I am not certain of what is meant by holding the pistol with both hands. If you mean shooting with the pistol held by both hands at arm’s length, the Off Hand model is best as it is heavier than the Diamond Model. For my own I prefer the latter, fitted with peep and globe sights, and I use it by holding it in my right hand, the barrel resting on my left forearm and my lent hand on my right forearm. This brings the peep right up close to my eye ant that is the only way to do good work with a peep sight. Held this way it is practically the same as a rifle.
