I have one of these rifles and think it far ahead of the lever action. I have a .30 caliber and here is a test of it. Shooting with a .30-30 soft nose it went through thirteen seven-eighths-inch pine boards and also I shot through three-eighths-inch of boiler steel with a soft nose at thirty-five feet distance at both test shots. And at 100 yards at a target with a twelve- inch circle and three-inch center of black I scored three shots in three inch center and three inside of the twelve, all off-hand shooting, with a Standard pump rifle .30-30.
