Slate Calls
Slate calls are now made with slate, glass and aluminum. The slate call is held in one hand and a striker is used to produce sound by dragging or striking it on the slate. Changing the striker or angle at which the slate is struck can easily change the sound of a slate call. Like the box call, slate calls are prone to malfunction in wet weather.
