Skunk Oil and Fur-How is the oil procured and where can it be sold? Are skunk hides graded by stripe or color as well as by size? If so, what ones grade No. 1, No. 2, etc.

You get the oil from the skunk in the same way you would get it from any other animal, by frying the fat. I do not know of any market for it. Skunk skins are graded by stripe as well as size. One having only a white spot on the head or a very short stripe, if it is of fair size, is called No. 1; if very small it is No. 2 or No. 3. The other grade the same way. This applies to prime skins.
