SKUNK STRETCHING BOARDS—What are the proper dimensions of both board and key of the three-piece stretching board for skunks?

A board of the following dimensions will accommodate most skins: Length, 30 inches; width at shoulders (8 1/2 inches from nose), 5 inches; width at base, 6 inches; to be made of a 5/8-inch board, beveled from near the center, to 1/8 or ¼ inch on the edge, and to be ripped lengthwise, in the exact middle, with a saw. The wedge should be 32 inches long, of 5/8-inch material, 3/8 inch wide at the point and 1 3/8 inch at the wide end. Of course, you may catch some that are too small for this board, and others that are too large; it would be difficult to make one board that would answer for all skins.
