SKUNK OIL—ITS USE AND VALUE—I never have any trouble to sell all the skunk oil I can get, writes a reader of H.T.T. I do not put anything whatever in it—I sell the pure oil. I usually get about 25 cents a half pint. It is the best thing on earth for a cold or sore throat. I take it both inside and out. It will break up a case of croup as quick as any remedy on earth. Do not be afraid of it as it is not poison. If my nose becomes stopped up I will warm it and snuff it up my nose until I can taste it in my throat, and next morning I feel fine. I take it for a sore throat; it will fix it every time. I use it for sores, bruises and lameness; it will limber up your joints as quick as anything I know of. I have personally known cases of membranous croup that skunk oil has broken up and saved the child’s life after the doctor said there was no help for the child. I would not be without it in the house.

Some people don’t like it on account of the name, but not me; they think it is as bad as its name. It is no worse to take or smell than lard. Tell the people what it will do and what it is good for and some will try it to see if it is good, and when they do use it and find out what it will do they will buy it if you have it to sell. The druggists uses lot of it hut they put lard or some- thing else in it so that it is no- better to use than lard would be. They charge a large price for a small bottle of it but they want the trapper to give it to them for nothing. I can sell all the oil I get to’ my friends. I will write again sometime before long. Will gladly answer all questions that I can if it is anything I know. Wish all brother hunters and trappers a prosperous season.
