SIGHTS FOR .22—What sights do you think best for .22 caliber repeating rifles and revolvers, especially the .22 caliber H & R .revolver with five inch barrel?
As far as I know you cannot use any other sights than those furnished regularly, on the H. & R. double action revolvers, except that you can get a Lyman bead front sight to be fitted over the regular sight. Revolvers having the rear sight set in a slot may have other sights mounted on them. A rear sight with a U shaped notch is probably heft, and a bead front sight goes best with it. They should be of such a size that with the bead drawn down into the notch a little light will show on each side. The rear sight on this H. & R. gun is all right except that it cannot be moved, and there is no way to correct a lateral error except by bending the blade of the front sight.
