RUST REMOVER—What should I use in remove rust from the inside of a shotgun barrel?

There are a number of good shotgun cleaners that will eat out rust without scratching the barrel. A brass wire scratch brush is about the best thing. Soften the rust by applying oil before you use the brush, and clean well with tight-fitting cotton rags afterwards. A smooth surface cannot rust without becoming rough, and no matter how carefully rust is removed from a gun- barrel, a rough spot will remain, and you cannot remove it.
