RELOADED SHELLS FOR REPEATERS — Can reloaded shells be used in a repeating shot gun?
If the shells are not expanded or frayed at the muzzle you can use them all right. Ordinarily you can use the shells that have been fired in the gun itself if they are nicely crimped and not bulged in loading, but shells that have been fired in other guns are likely to cause trouble. On the whole the guns will do the best with new shells. The action of a repeating gun is often condemned by thoughtless persons because it does not handle imperfect ammunition well.
