Reels for Bait Casting
Bait-casting can be done only with a quadruple multiplying reel. It should be rather long in the barrel as compared with the diameter of the side plates. The size may be either eighty or one hundred yards. A very good one—a cheap casting reel is impossible—may be had for seven dollars and upwards. The position of the reel on the rod is on top of the rod with the handle to the right, and the rod is never to be turned so that the reel is underneath.
