Red Grouper
Grouper, Red (Brown Snapper, Ked-Bellied Snapper, Cherna, etc.): Caught by bottom-fishing with stiff surf tackle with crab and small-fish bait. It is abundant along the southern Atlantic and Gulf coast of the United States, particularly about Florida. Weighs up to fifty pounds. Is called Red-Bellied Snapper and Brown Snapper in Florida, and Groper and Red Groper in the New York market.
