REMOVING BALLS FROM BARREL—What is the best method of removing balls from rifle barrel?
I presume the gun is a muzzle loader. Try working powder into the nipple and drum or cylinder and firing it. If you cannot remove it in that way, try unscrewing the breech. When these arms were still in general use the makers supplied a threaded point called a bullet screw for the end of the ramrod and the bullet could be drawn in this way. If it is a breech Ioader it should be a simple matter to drive the ball ont with a metal rod.
