Revolvers-Best and Most Powerful
Revolvers-Best and Most Powerful-Which is the best and most powerful revolver-Hopkins and Allen, Triple Action, Safety Police, or the Iver Johnson, Safety Hammer, Automatic, using .32 Colt’s Police Positive cartridges?
I think there is very little difference in the reliability, etc., of these two revolvers, and they are both good ones, for the price. I am more familiar with the Iver Johnson, and that arm has money good points to recommend it. I think the Iver Johnson Special, with 4 inch barrel, and either the Perfect or the Western grip, will suit you very well. It uses the .32 Colt New Police or the .32 Smith and Wesson Long Cartridges, which are about equal in ballistics, and somewhat ahead of the regular .32 Long, in power. Unless you prefer the nickel finish, I would advise you get the blued gun. The Hopkins and Allen, large frame, is also a good one, but there is the difference in the cartridges used, therefore I recommend the Iver Johnson, since you are particular about power.
