PURSE-NET. A net for taking hares or rabbits. They are to be made fast to the ground with wooden pins, and the game is driven into them either by beating the bushes, or by sending a ferret with a bell round its neck into the burrow, when the rabbits will immediately bolt out and run into the purse. See Nets, Rarrit, &c.
