The knives of today are very well built tools, but as with any tool, they are designed for a specific purpose. Do not use your knife for any task it was not designed for. Do not use it as a screwdriver, axe, chisel or can opener (unless it has one). Any of these uses is sure to damage the blade, possibly beyond repair; they will most certainly void your warranty. You wouldn't use an impact gun to tighten the screw on your glasses, so don't use your knife for something it was not designed to do. In an emergency it is certainly fine, but not as a general practice! One last point; if you don't own a throwing knife, then don't throw your knife!
