PISTOL GRIP—Why are some rifles made with a pistol grip and shotgun butt stock? Does the pistol grip give a better grip than a straight stock, or what ta it for?

I have used both and can ace no difference; neither do I ace any difference in the butt plates. The shotgun butt plate may be the beat for quick work, hut I think the rifle butt plate fits the shoulder better and looks better on a gun. This is a matter of taste, entirely. Men used to shotguns like a shot gun butt on their rifles. Any butt is the right one, if you are used to it, and it is the right length and drop.
