Pistol for the Trap Line-Which would be the best all-around gun for the trap line; and Iver-Johnson revolver, .22 caliber with six inch barrel, and target stocks, or a Stevens Off Hand model pistol of the same caliber and barrel length? It is to be used for shooting trapped animals and small game up to 30 yards.

Both guns have good points, but I prefer the pistol for such use, because the cartridge is fired from the barrel and there is no loss of power as in a cylinder gun. The greater weight and lighter trigger pull of the Stevens is also in its favor and there is no more accurate arm of its caliber.
