Take plastic jar of peanut butter pass a round dowel through the bottom of jar. Attach a string to each side making a yoke and hand 4' or so off ground upside down with lid off. deer will lick on this all season long or until gone. you can also attach lid to tree with a nail through middle of lid. you cut off the bottom and screw jar onto the lid attached to tree. However other game can get to this type of set-up.
