PACK HORSES IN NEW ONTARIO—Would it be convenient to travel by pack horse in New Ontario during summer months? If so, could a horse support himself on the vegetables found there?
It would be impractical to say the least. The canoe being the only satisfactory means of travel, as for the horse sustaining himself on the vegetation, it would be a very poorly fed animal as the only wild growth being a very tough grass, which does not amount to very much unless fed along with something more substantial.
