ONTARIO GOVERNMENT LANDS—Are there government and forest lands in the Kawartha Lake region of Ontario, Canada?
There is very little land or forest about the lakes owned by the government. It is pretty well settled up all around these lakes. The fish are principally muskellunge and bass. There is no game except ruffed grouse and ducks, unless you go back farther than the Kawartha Lakes. The furbearers are mink, raccoons, skunks, muskrats and weasels, none plentiful.
