NORTHERN WISCONSIN—I would like to find a good trapping location in a wooded country such as Northern Wisconsin. Are muskrats found as plentiful in such a country as in prairie country such as Iowa or the Dakotas? I would like to get into a thinly settled district where there are not too many trappers. Where can I get a census report giving the population of each county of Wisconsin?
As a rule muskrats are most abundant in the open prairie country or in the settled farming districts. They are seldom found in large numbers in the woods. The Rand McNally pocket maps which we sell at 25 cents each give the population of each county and much other valuable information.
