Non-Mercuric Primers
Answer to Roy Bradley: Regarding non-mercuric primers, if he will write to the U. S. Cartridge Co., Lowell, Mass., he will get the best kind of satisfaction. I have been using their goods for a year and it is perfectly satisfactory. Their rifle shells are the beet I ever got for reloading with high pressure powders. I have given them the hardest kind of a test -with Lightning powder, never cleaned the shells, and have never had one break. I am not in any way connected with this firm and am only telling this for the benefit of brother sportsmen. I like lightning powder for high power cartridges, and Du Pont Schuetzen for target and small game loads. Be careful with Lightning powder; don’t measure it but weigh it, and don’t use it in black powder rifle.
