NO. 3 NEWHOUSE—Is a No 3 Newhouse trap all right for coyotes. lynx, and grey wolves? What size of Oneida Jump trap is best for these animals? Is there any danger of the swivels breaking on the No. 3 traps of these patterns?

The No. 3 Newhouse trap is all right for coyotes and wildcats, the best trap made for those animals in my opinion, and strong enough for grey wolves. For regular use for coyotes I consider all of the Oneida Jump traps too weak, but I know nothing about the new single spring traps of this pattern in the No. 3 and No. 4 sizes, and these, especially the No. 4, may be all right. I would advise that you write to the Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida, N. Y., or better still, ask them the price of a sample trap, and send for one, then you can see exactly what they are like.
