NEW JERSEY FUR BEARERS—I would like to know whether there are any skunks, muskrats and foxes or other furbearing animals in New Jersey, and if so, in what parts are they most plentiful?
The furbearing animals of New Jersey are the mink, skunk fox, opossum, coon and muskrat. I cannot say where they are most plentiful except that the muskrats are most abundant in the salt water marshes along the coast, and In some such places they are very plentiful.
