Trim a green limb, as long as desired, with the exception of a piece of one branch left near the butt to form a hook. Then cut a deep notch near the other end of the stick, hang the bail of your kettle in the notch and hook the other end of the stick over your crane. You will find this a first- rate pothook, saving the carrying of metal hooks or chains. This Kink is probably already known to a good many old-timers, but lots of campers do not seem to have heard of it.
