Muskrats-Catching them Alive-What is the best method for taking muskrats alive? I want to put them in an enclosure and keep them until they get prime. Is it advisable to do this? How large should the enclosure be and will they thrive with a small amount of water?

You can catch them in box traps, but must look at them often or the captured animals will gnaw out. I do not advise such methods. The furbearers are vanishing rapidly enough without trapping them before they are prime. Yes they will thrive with only an ordinary amount of good water and a large enclosure is not needed.
