Minnesota Resident’s License | |
|
Minnesota Resident’s License-The game laws of Minnesota say that residents of the state must have a dollar license to hunt or take any small game; why is this law not enforced? I know scores of hunters who have no licenses, and are never questioned. It is because there is so little game here that they are not required to purchase licenses?
Residents are not required to take out a license to hunt in their own county. The paragraph relating to this reads as follows: “Every resident of this state aver 21 years of age is prohibited from hunting, taking or killing any game bird unless he shall have first procured a license therefor from the county auditor of the county in which he resides, provided, however, that this shall not apply to any resident of the state hunting within his own country.”
Game Laws and Licenses-When the questions under this header were answered the laws were in effect at that time, but as the laws change somewhat each year and 1913 laws especially, some of the answers here given maybe incorrect.
