Making Your Own Hunting Scents

To make scents last longer, melt Vaseline to a liquid and then add the scent. mix it well and again when the mixture thickens, additional mixing may be needed. This will last for a while. Use a stick to add to your hunting spots by applying to trees and stumps. A good scent for deer is Vanilla.. YES vanilla!! Use the cooking kind...

When I am moose hunting this year and will make a batch of cow in heat... I will find a good moosey spot a few days before the hunt and then apply the scent mix and then come back opening day and call. the scent will keep a bull in the area for a few days. and in ear shot!! good hunting!!
