It would be difficult to give the average value on this fur, from that section, as martens are found only in limited numbers in the Adirondacks. For prime skins, the price would probably average $3.60 to $6.00 each, as to size. The choice skins might be worth double. So far as known, only light brown and yellow martens are found there, and they are not near as valuable as the darker ones, nor as well furred as the Canadian ones.
