Mannlicher 1905-I am in the market for a heavy automatic pistol. I sent to Liege, Belgium, for a catalog, and am very favorably impressed with the Mannlicher, Model 1905. It is a ten shot pistol with an eight inch barrel. It is very heavy and has a short breech mechanism. Is there any agency in America for this gun? If not can you tell me about how much duty I will have to pay on the gun if I send to Belgium for it. Its caliber is 7.65 mm, same (as the Luger) would it shoot the same cartridges as that gun. I understand that it has been adopted by the government of Argentina for use in the army.
You already know far more about this weapon than I do. Not knowing who makes it, I cannot say whether they have an agency in America, but I know that the pistol is not advertised in this country. The duty on this gun would be about one third its value.
